Here we have two girls who really love to wear Versace on the red carpet.

January – who is the face of Versace’s Spring 2011 accessories collection – wore her Versace black dress from the Spring 2011 collection to the Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund launch party in London back in November.

With a neat tight bun the “Mad Men” actress wore her sexy sleek LBD with black pumps.

Cheryl wore the same dress to the National Television Awards which was held at The O2 in London.

The X Factor judge added warm pops of red to her look via her red Christian Louboutin ‘Big Lips’ pumps and bold red lips.

I do like the look on Cheryl, but I wish she’d saved it for a TV appearance and dressed up more for this occasion.

I was going to give this win to Cheryl for not going head to toe black, but then I saw the back of the dress and I almost died.

January wins for me.

Don the Verb’s Hanna Astrom and Yanina Landsaat didn’t mandate formal terms for their choice of venue this season, but something bigger than last year’s gallery space was in order. Their requirements (bigger, darker, near their Delancey Street boutique) came through with Thor, the bar at the Rivington Hotel. “The Rivington is actually very pleasant to look at,” Landsaat remarked of the L.E.S. high-rise. “And it’s closer to work,” Astrom chimed in. Thor was indeed well suited to the duo’s latest offering, on view last night. It was a somber, mostly black collection featuring cocoonlike leather shrugs and wraps; it would be easy to read the pieces as emblematic of present-day woes. Landsaat dismissed that. “We hear the term ’survival of the fittest’ over and over again,” she said. “It’s really a matter of creating designer pieces for the long term.” Astrom agrees. “It’s like, don’t panic,” she counsels. “Don’t look at what other people are doing. Stick with what you’re doing and just go forward.”

Camilla Belle swapped football for fashion as she attended the Miu Miu Presents Lucrecia Martel’s “Muta” event, which was held at a private residence in Beverly Hills, California last night.

The actress gave us our first Miu Miu Fall 2011 re-run of the season, as Anna Dello Russo has already worn this Miu Miu embroidered dress to Menswear Spring 2012 Fashion Week last month.

I’m guessing our message of more interesting footwear has finally sunk in, as Camilla opted to wear a stunning pair of silver Miu Miu glitter pumps.

Camilla wore her hair back in a simple bun plus she added a Miu Miu pink clutch, Cartier jewels and pretty pink lips to complement her dress.

Do you find this look marvelous or matronly?

On Friday Leighton Meester was spotted filming scenes for “Gossip Girl” in New York City.

I have loved nearly all of ‘Blair Waldolf’s’ looks, but this ensemble happens to be my least favourite.

She wore a colourful Dolce & Gabbana floral printed sleeveless top with a pair of high-waist beige pants.

The pieces are nice separately, but for me they don’t work well together.

When you add the fuchsia pink Sergio Rossi pumps and the Valentino ‘Aphrodite’ bag the look becomes even more confusing.

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama hosted a dinner for the Queen at Winfield House, the residence of the Ambassador of the United States of America, in Regent’s Park this evening dressed in their finest eveningwear after a long day of visits, politics, hand-shaking, motivational speaking and meetings.

Michelle looked stunning wearing a Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 elegant black gown with a portrait neckline.

The black satin wrap around bodice is met by a long black crepe skirt.

Not many people can out bling the Queen, but Mrs O does wearing a breath-taking necklace with a matching bracelet and an emerald ring.

I prefer this Ralph Lauren gown to the Tom Ford gown as it more dramatic and sophisticated.

Which do you prefer?

WWD notes that “funding is already in place for a Tamara Mellon brand.” [WWD]After the Telegraph wrote an article about Adriana Lima’s pre-Victoria’s Secret show extreme diet, the model reportedly says it was just a “misunderstanding.” Lima’s new message is this: “Those teenagers out there, don’t go starving yourself or only drinking liquids. Don’t do that please!” [Huff Po]Joseph Altuzarra took the $300,000 prize at last night’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards. Dana Barnes

Textile designer and artist Dana Barnes sure knows how to tie a knot. Her latest work, UNSPUN: Tangled and Fused experiments with unspun natural fibers and innovative felting processes. Barnes explores different ways of forming objects using various techniques: knotting, netting, twisting and looping of fibers to create large scale textile art pieces for interior spaces. Inspired by nature, her work references thick crop fields, grazed hills and meadows, gnarled and knobby aged oak trees, and entwined and interlocked Spanish moss. Pictured above is RIGGERS KNOT Twisted Rope Object.

“It’s just like a glass house,” squealed one of the guests at Resurrection co-owner Mark Haddawy’s always-impressive Harpel residence in Los Angeles last night. A John Lautner-designed glass house, mind you, which proved an interesting setting for Katy Rodriguez and her cast of “Mujeres Verdaderas” (Real Women) modeling a Mexican-inspired Spring ‘09 collection. “I’m so glad I chose to do something like this rather than just another runway show” said Rodriguez. The Frida Kahlo-doppelganger models were decked out in Rodriguez’s signature A-line shape, this season complete with twists, tucks, and draping, in a color palette of red, green, and black. And on the other side of the windowpane, guests such as Raymond Pettibon, Lisa Eisner, Tony Alva, Jeremy Scott, Jasmin Shokrian, Lisa Love, Arianne Phillips, and Guinevere Van Seenus enjoyed a view of a different kind: Mulholland Drive at dusk.
